Amy Chen is currently 18 years of age and commenced her piano lessons at the age of 8. She is a second year bachelor student, studying at the Queensland Griffith Conservatorium and was entered into the Advanced Performance strand after being awarded the student with highest marks in performance. 
  
Amy has been invited to play in various festivals and concerts and had her performances broadcasted on 4MBS and 2MBS radio. She has also won numerous amounts of awards including the 1st Place in the Vivace Piano Competition, 1st Place Brisbane Eisteddfod Championships Open age and Queensland Piano Competition winner. Amy has received opportunities to have masterclasses with international pianists such as Mikola Suk and was awarded the Queenslanders Foundation Prize in 2015.
